Q: Can I use Ballentine Ford Collision Center even if it's not on my insurance company's list of approved body shops?

A: Yes, you can take your vehicle to the collision center of your choice. However, our center is a Direct Repair facility for most insurance companies, so chances are, our body shop will be on their list of approved centers.

Q: Can the insurance company refuse to issue a warranty if I use Ballentine Ford Collision Center instead of their approved body shop?

A: Actually, the body shop that performs the repair is the one who issues the warranty. When you choose us, you'll get our repair warranty, and it often meets or surpasses what's offered by insurance companies.

Q: Does your repair facility use new factory parts?

A: Yes! Ballentine Ford Collision Center strives to use genuine original manufacturer parts. However, some insurance companies pay only for aftermarket, like kind and quality, or reconditioned, recycled parts, so make sure you check with our team or your insurance company to be sure of what's covered.

Q: How long will repairs take?

A: You'll get a time frame when you receive the initial estimate. However, remember that sometimes there is hidden damage uncovered during repairs which can add cost and time. Whatever comes up, you can rest assured that we will still do whatever we can to complete your repairs in a timely manner and to your satisfaction.

Q: What will I have to pay?

A: If you are going through your auto insurance company that considers us a Direct Repair facility, they will pay us directly for all repairs, minus any deductible - which would be your responsibility. In any other situation, payment is required once repairs are completed in the form of an insurance check, personal check, cash, or credit card. To save time, you can take care of this before the end of the repair process to avoid delays when picking up your vehicle.

Q: Can I get a rental car?

A: Ballentine Ford Collision Center can help you secure a rental car so that you have reliable transportation while your vehicle is in our shop. If your insurance policy includes rental car coverage, the type of vehicle you get will depend on the limits the policy sets. We suggest checking with your insurance company to be sure, because "full coverage" doesn't necessarily include rental car coverage.
